We see it all the time in San Antonio: cut papel picado fluttering in the wind, festive and fabulous. But picture streams of the stuff--WHITE--at a winter wedding in the fabulous Texas Hill Country. The effect was marvelous.
We shot the amazing wedding of Dean and Verenice at Scenic Springs, a beautiful wedding venue in the Grey Forest area, which is just far enough outside of San Antonio to make you feel like you are Somewhere Else. Majestic oaks, a babbling stream, a rustic bridge, great staff, and a gorgeous reception ballroom all combine to make this amazing site the perfect setting for a wedding that is both rustic and glam all at once. And the artistic touches that the bride included--like bride and groom pinatas, paper lanterns, Mexican folkart, and colorful maracas--added fiesta colors throughout.
And Verenice and Dean--and their wonderful families and friends--remind us again just how lucky we are to do the jobs we do.
